![]() The waypoint serves as a physical artifact on the map which I can easily query to ask "what trains run through here on this route?" which is the question I usually have that results in a group of trains as the answer. in the case of freight, "Iron Ore Drop", "Steel Pickup", "Fluffingford Mines Ore Pickup" - as opposed to the engineering supplies drop-off in FIRS or its ilk - or in the case of passengers, "Derptown Express", "Derptown Local", "Wat-ville Reverse Loop", "Lolford Terminating Services", whatever matches your scheme. I give them shared orders, and those orders include a waypoint - usually right before the entry to the first and/or the last station: e.g. So I guess this has been a long-winded way of asking, how do you guys name your vehicles? How do you group them in the group manager? Is there a faster way to get all this worked out? It does take much longer to track down a problem if "Train 37 is lost", because I don't know what Train 37 is carrying and where it is trying to go unless I do some digging, whereas with the name and group system, I would know what the issue was almost at a glance. I've found that I could just leave the trains as the default name, and even leave them all ungrouped, and still be able to have a handle on things. It helped keep things organized, especially as my company grew in size, but it was also very time-consuming as well. I would then take the trains and put them in a group called "Farmsworth Coal Trains" or something like that. For example, instead of "Train 1" I would rename it to "Farmsworth Coal Train 1", and then clone it so the name carried over to the others.
